It's Time to Ramble On (Moving to a new Site)

I have received some wonderful comments from my readers this week, both in the comments here and in many other messages, and I don't think I've ever been so thoroughly encouraged in my life!  I can tell that I made a positive impact on many people, and that's something I really needed to know.  I'll always have that.

I had no idea how many people were reading this blog and actually enjoying it.  Alas, I think I've said everything I can say about the issues I discuss on this site.  I've been basically repeating the same things over and over, and I don't want to spend the rest of my life repeating myself and getting into the same arguments each week.  If you've learned anything from this site then you've learned everything I can teach about Thinking Through Christianity.  (See what I did there?)

So, it's time for me to ramble on; I'll be blogging at a new site.  It's a more personal blog where I'll just be talking about my travels and my thoughts without the expectation of anyone caring about it.  I won't be weighing in on important issues that often, and I'll be able to broaden my horizons.  I really enjoy expressing myself through writing, and the new blog will be a place for me to do that with more freedom.  (Also, a recent email criticized me for listening to Led Zeppelin, which is one of the reasons I named the new site after a Zeppelin song.)  I won't be setting up site analytics to see who is visiting, and I won't be making it a serious project.  It's just for fun.  (Yes, technically I could just start doing that here, but I to use a sight that hasn't already drown an audience expecting a certain sort of writing.)  I will keep this site up so it can be referenced.

So, follow me on the new site.  Or don't.  But don't stop thinking.  Don't stop asking the Big Questions.  You have a natural inclination to understand Higher things and were born with a brain that is capable of solving problems - so get busy!

(And, the next time you like someone's blog, try telling them before they stop writing it.)

Funny. I was just thinking that last night. The ones who actually read and think about your stuff aren't the ones who write. Every now and again a friend will make a comment to my face, not on the blog, and I'll see that my stuff impacted them, but they never comment online.
As for same old stuff and Led Zepplin--if you come across any Christianity articles you would have commented on, send them my way please. I want to up my Christian topics. Got any good websites/blogs too? I need a deeper bench. Also, I have a hunch the Zepplin thing has something to do with Zepplin is secular and so to be shunned by good Christians. If so, please send details. Bugaboo of mine, shunning good stuff just because secular. Working up post on pop culture and Christianity. Think Talking Heads Take Me to the River.
See you at your new place.
