Friday Stuff - Life After Death, Pumpkin Spice Miracles, and More.

-We've heard a lot about America being a "Christian Nation," but Miles S. Mullin II, church historian and evangelical Christian, has problems with this because he sees church leaders replacing discipleship with politics.  A serious problem, indeed.

--By now, you've probably heard that Starbucks is facing a shortage of Pumpkin Spice drinks.  Well, thankfully we don't need to panic (or horde large amounts of the drinks in our freezers) because there was actually no shortage to begin with.  (This is going to go down in history as another case of mass hysteria, right up there with balloon boy and Y2K.)

-Heard of "near death" experiences?  A neuroscientist who was skeptical about life after death has recovered from a coma with a firm conviction that Heaven exists - because he's seen it.  His story is absolutely fascinating, if true.  Read it and decide for yourself.

-For the first time, the Pope has addressed a crowd in Arabic which included an appeal directly to Muslims for peace in the region.  I approve.  In my experience, I am able to get along with Muslims quite well when we communicate with one another and see how much we have in common.

Have a good weekend.
